Hello, I have a couple reasons that your blog site caught my attention...First, I grew up in a logging family in Northern California (Redwood Country). My dad and grandfather were both loggers and my dad told stories of punking whistle and using mules, not for skidding logs but for other purposes in the woods. Secondly, I love mules, have owned and ridden the same ol' mule for 21 years. Your blog is just wonderful. I hope that you keep posting...it's very interesting.
